12mo. With 28 wood engravings in the text. Nineteenth century half calf, marbled boards, red morocco label to spine, gilt; extremities a little rubbed, ownership inscriptions to front free endpaper. 108pp. York, J. Kendrew,

The story of Robin Hood's life told in couplets. The author writes in the preface: "Numbers there are who ... believe [Robin Hood and Little John] to have existed nowhere else but in the fertile brain of an inventing poet". The author disagrees with this assessment, and proceeds to give an extremely entertaining retelling of the tale.
