Translated by William P. Alston and George Nakhnikian. Introduction by George Nakhnikian. First edition in English. 8vo. xxii, [2], 60 pp. Original green cloth, spine lettered in gilt, dust jacket. A very fine copy. The Hague, Martinus Nijhoff.

The first English translation of these five lectures delivered by Husserl in Göttingen in 1907, originally published posthumously in German in 1950 as part of Husserl's Gesammelte Werke. The lectures introduce the main ideas of his later phenomenology and give a clear exposition of the phenomenological problems, at the same time showing the process of their evolution (dust jacket blurb).
