Copy typescript with a few MS corrections. 4to. 16pp. Three printed sketch maps of the area of operations, one with red ink unit locations in MS and typed caption. Very good, old paper-clip to the top corner. Inked authorial inscription to the title page reads, "Dear Mervyn, This is a true, edited copy of my original report to Gen. Devers. It has been published in service journals, with minor editorial deletions. Faithfully Rube." [Together with:] The Battle of the [MS insertion "German"] National Redoubt ... Foolscap. 23pp. cyclostyled typescript with a number of MS authorial corrections and notes, six printed situation maps, five large photo-reproduced situation maps. Pencilled note to the title page reads, "A true copy of the original draft." Very good stapled at the upper corner, the large maps loose. N.p. [?Fort Benning], n.d.

These copies are accompanied by a 1p. TLS addressed from Army Ground Forces Board No.3, Fort Benning from Jenkins to "Dear Mervyn" - Lt.-Col. Mervyn Reynolds - apologising "... for it taking so long to get my report on DRAGOON copied and dispatched to you. I have simply been so damned busy that I have not had the time to look after it." He goes on to explain that, "In addition to a copy of my report on DRAGOON, I am inclosing [sic.] a draft copy of my report on our final battle... You will identify some of the aspects of the plan for the final battle, for it was originally sketched out by our Plans Group while we were in Corsica... Thus you will have both the opening and closing battles of a campaign to which you contributed so much, and on which all of us worked so hard in 1943/4. I hope you enjoy them and can use them before your colleagues."

A further three 1p. TLSs from Jenkins to Reynolds written in 1950-1 discussing a possible assignment for Reynolds on Eisenhower's staff in Paris, accompanied by a copy of a letter sent by Jenkins to the War Office in support of the appointment. Also, a group of letters and attachments from the Lord Chamberlain's Office concerning Reynolds' duties as a member of the British Suite attached to the Guatemalan representative at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. An interesting pair of drafts compiled by the former Chief of G-3 Plans, AFHQ. Jenkins was to go on to command the Ninth Army Corps during the Korean War.
