Programme of Events. Tall 8vo. Coloured title page, two pages listing the French and British Fleets with half-tone vignettes, one plate, folding coloured chart printed on silk - "Positions of the French and British Fleets in the Solent from the 7th to 9th August 1905" - in end-pocket. Very good in the original full blue calf, gilt dentelles to both boards, title gilt to the upper board, watered silk doublures, inner gilt dentelles, a.e.g. 9pp.

A volume produced for presentation to visiting dignitaries on the occasion of the joint review of the French and British Fleets in 1905. A slip, printed in red, tipped in at the rear notes that "The members of both Houses of Parliament have invited the French Admirals and Officers to a Luncheon in Westminster Hall on Saturday August 12th." This copy has the bookplate of Lieutenant Commander Aubrey Fitzmaurice Inglefield verso of the front free endpaper.
