The first volume of Capitalism and Schizophrenia, with a preface by Michel Foucault, Anti-Oedipus centres on the psychoanalytic conception of desire as lack, that is, the object-orientated, possessive desire of Freud, outlining instead a vitalist micropolitics of desire and "desiring-production", what Deleuze & Guattari describe as "schizoanalysis".
