£250.00  [First Edition]

First edition. 8vo. Original pinstriped woollen cloth covered boards, embroidered label titling stitched to upper. Oldham, Incline Press.

Born in Preston, Jim Burns was an active member and publisher in the British Poetry Revival of the ‘60s and ‘70s. This privately printed book by the Incline Press brings to life Burns’ poem, which warns readers of the subliminal messages behind men in suits ‘…who leave you feeling slightly uneasy and disturbed’. The book, which is bound in a pinstriped woollen cloth, appears itself to be in a suit, reminding readers to approach with caution.

A fine copy. Signed by Jim Burns and Peter S. Carter to colophon.
