It is marked on the front free endpaper in proofreader's blue crayon FILE COPY above the note "Publish 16 June 1915", opposite a clipping of the first report of Brooke's death (described here as being from sunstroke) in The Times, who print Churchill's semi-anonymous essay "From W.S.C.". FILE copy also asserts itself on the spine label

Frontispiece now loosely inserted, binding very slightly worn.
