He was responsible for the good things and guarded us against errors Max Beaverbrook', the inscription annotated ('see p. 60 + footnote 2') in a different hand. Engraved pictorial bookplate of John Elliot to the front pastedown. R.D.Blumenfeld was managing editor of the Daily Express under Beaverbrook, his son John Elliot (who dropped 'Blumenfeld' in 1923), worked in the Railway industry, being successively Chairman of the Railway Executive, and Chairman of London Transport.
