Jaime Correira do Inso (1880-1967) was a Portuguese Naval Officer as well as an author and Orientalist. He published a number of books as well as numerous articles about Macao and China. Printed at the Orphanage of the Immaculate Conception, the present is a good general introduction to the history commerce, industry and politics of Macau, proudly acclaimed as the oldest European colony in the Far East.
