A very rare publication with excellent photographs. The present publication provides a vivid record of the treaty port of Tientsin, as well as scenes and views, customs and costumes of Peking in the aftermath of the Boxer rebellion, with many excellent views of the legation quarters and the city gates. Although the imprint states that this is a first edition there appear to be copies that were printed in 1909.
