First Edition. 12mo in 6's. 46pp (without the final blank leaf). Engraved frontispiece by Elisha Kirkall of a hare and stag-hunting scene in a wooded landscape (included in the pagination and repeated on p. 30). Browned throughout. Early 19th-century plain calf (joints rubbed, label chipped).

Very rare burlesque poem on hare-hunting. With thanks to Christopher Edwards for identifying the anonymous author as most probably Hawten Maria Morgan, a student at the Inner Temple 1674 and Magdalen College, Oxford (BCL 1676). It has otherwise been attributed by ESTCto Hill Morgan with the impossible dates of 1724-1801.
