All Giolito's editions appear to be rare outside Italy with none listed in Adams and only the 1571/72 editions in the British Library. Zonara's Historia covers, as is proudly displayed on the title-page, historical events in the space of 6626 years. It starts off with the Hebrews and the origins of the world, tracing them until the destruction of Jerusalem. Zonara then switches to the emerging Roman Empire until the reign of Constantine the Great. The last part is taken up by the histories of emperors in the eastern part of the Roman Empire after Constantine. Censimento Edit 16 CNCE 26761. Bongi II, pp. 194/96. OCLC/RLIN (Yale only).
