8vo (157 x 105mm). 249, [3] ff. Half-morocco, with marbled paper over pasteboard and simple gilt ruling, spine with five raised bands and gilt lettering in second and third compartments, red silk marker (corners bumped and edges slightly worn, upper hinge worn). 

Venice, Ex Bibliotheca Aldina, 

 A complete edition in good condition of the plays of Terence, with commentary and prefatory letter by French philologist Vincent Cordé (Vincentius Cordatus). Following final concluding remarks is a poem dedicated to the Aldine anchor.

Interlinear notes in brown ink, in Latin, on f.74r, and in lighter ink and different (older) hand on ff.202v-203r. Bookplate of Robert Ball in front paste-down, and ‘R. Ball’, dated 1959, pencilled on front endpapers.

Slight worming of gutter ff.1-6, and upper corner ff.51-9, 241-47; minor staining at head of ff.162-69, 209-45 but overall a clean copy.
