Christmas 2022

For the festive season this year we have put together a short list of items with books and manuscripts from all of our departments here at Maggs. To view the list please click the link here.

Some of the highlights include, the beautiful hand-coloured Cuala Press print below, an excellent copy of the first edition of The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle; a charming little almanac intended for merchants and those in commerce in Rouen, for the year 1772; and a fine copy of the first edition of Shackleton's South, the most inspiring voyage of the Heroic period of Antarctic exploration. 

Our Christmas Opening Times:

  Both our shops will be open as usual up until Friday 23rd December, and will reopen again on Tuesday 3rd January.
