Illustrated with twenty-two beautifully hand-coloured plates of beetles, each with a border in Art Nouveau style, and a facing page of descriptive text. 3.4 x 2.8cm, (43)pp. Later binding by Kate Holland in full black goatskin with hand tooled gold dots and applied gold leaf on spine, articulated elytra of green enamel effect with twisted gold wires attached to articulated wings of underdrawn vellum with gilt edge. Later binding by Jeff Clements in full red Harmatan goatskin over deeply recessed boards, freely tooled black and grey rectilinear lines, feathered onlays of blue, grey and yellow goatskin traverse both boards and spine; board papers of natural cork on black paper and flyleaves lined with red suede, top edge trimmed by hand and coloured bright yellow, textblock sewn on braided tapes, endleaves are green ‘Veronese’ Fabriano 130gsc Roma handmade laid paper, endbands are blue linen thread over a double core of vellum and nylon; binding signed 'Jeff Clemets 2016' on lower flyleaf, with cloth drop back box in beige cloth, paper label on spine. Full leather binding in dark aubergine goatskin with grey sewn silk endbands and leather joints. Design tooled in pigment foil in 20 colours. The titling on the spine runs upwards and is executed in silver- and blue-pearl pigment foil. Burgundy/silvery shimmering bord-a-bord endpapers and flyleaves. The chemise has the same dark aubergine goatskin on the spine and clasps and an inlaid grey/blue and green paper centrepiece. The slipcase is covered in emerald green paper. All papers used are hand-dyed. The design on the boards was executed by Claude Ribal, France.

No. 1 of 5 copies. 11.3x25.8cm. Text handset using Baskerville 14pt individual metal type and the illustrations printed by letterpress from metal plates and finished with gold leaf and blind tooling. Fine binding by Eri Funazaki completed in 2018, full dark burgundy goatskin, upper cover with an image of planets printed by letterpress and laminated with vellum then onlaid into the recessed areas, recessed dotted lines with white leather onlay, title and stars with hand tooled gold and white gold leaf, top edge sprinkled with gold leaf. Hand sewn endbands. The paper doublures and flyleaves have images printed by letterpress and were additionally hand tooled with gold and white gold leaf. London, Flynn & Funazaki.
