Radius (1797-1884) was a practising physician and professor of medicine at the University of Leipzig and director of the "medinische Gesellschaft" in Leipzig. It is unclear whether this is the thesis or the commercial edition as identified by Stafleu 8503. This copy has the dedication leaf not called for in the commerical edition but lacks the thesis list on verso of E4. It could be that Stafleu's commercial edition lacked the dediciation leaf.
