Rolfe's second published book, following "Tarcissus", [1880], comprising: "About San Pietro and San Paolo", "About the Lilies of San Luigi", "A Caprice of the Cherubim", "About Beata Beatrice and the Mamma of San Pietro", "About the Heresy of Fra Serafico" and "About One Way in which Christians Love One Another". All six stories are revised from their original versions which first appeared in "The Yellow Book", 1895-1896. With the attractive bookplate on the front pastedown and the ownership inscription on the half-title dated 1898 of Thomas Durnan.
