12 hand-coloured drawings of sabretaches pasted into a contemporary album. Folio, cloth-backed boards, rubbed and spine missing (but still tight), Ms. title-page and short descriptive text in German.
A most interesting album with very clear designs. Not all the regiments mentioned in the headlines are accompanied by a drawing, though an earlier French catalogue description only mentions a dozen, as here. Ten describe sabretaches of 1786; one between 1785-1796 and one of 1807.
