A fair copy of a journal of the Cadiz campaign, which began on February 5, 1810 and di not end until August 24, 1812.

The author departed Portsmouth on the Recovery to Lisbon.

September 25 - "On waiting on General Graham I find he has just received an order from Lord Wellington to send beside the corps already gone from hence the 30th and the 44th to sail immediately and an order for me to join the army in Portugal as soon as possible."

The battle of Cadiz represented a major strategic defeat for France in the Peninsular War, allowing for the liberation of Spain from French rule.
