"The sheet is based on Col. Talbot's Ed Dueim Triangulation in 1901 and Mr. Pilkington's Gezira Triangulation in 1913-14. It is compiled from the Gezira Beacon and Contour Surveys, and sketches and information supplied by Messrs. Arkell, Bowers, Cullen, Dunn, Fiddes, Hancock, Henderson, Paul, Pawson, Raven and Tippets. The railway and neighbouring detail were supplied by Bimb. Newcombe 1908."
