Identified as a "Draft" this is an unpublished account of the services of the Division. Briefly covers the history up to 1939, with a three- or four-page summary of actions on the Western Front, the majority, however, relating to WWII. The Division was in Finland and Norway at the time of Narvik, the occupation of Iceland and D-Day - Operation MARTLET around Fontenay, the drive to the Seine, Belgium and into Holland, actions around Arnhem and Nijmegen.

Lt.-Col. Cole was the author of a number of books on military subjects including a history of Sandhurst, Bisley and the NAAFI.
