Four cards, c. 3 inches by 4 inches, with clippings from nineteenth century travel guides pasted to each side, in an envelope captioned as above.
With a note of provenance saying that this group was assembled for Walter de la Mare, and included as part of lot 284 in Sotheby's sale of 18/12/1980, property of Richard de la Mare. The clippings are for hotels in Moscow and St. Petersburg, a Coach Master in Trondheim, a trunk maker, and a tentmaker.
