Haydn Wood composed over two hundred songs and was a noted violinist, but he is remembered today for this well-loved sentimental song of the First World War, composed in 1916 with lyrics by Fred Weatherly.
There are minor traces of mounting on the verso, but this is a very attractive musical quotation.
