publication of the modest, vellum-bound
notebook now known as the 'Roman Sketchbook'
and catalogued at Chatsworth House as 'Album

Featured Collection: Japanese Photography
from the Pre-War Period
Maggs are very pleased to be able to offer
two important collections relating to Japanese
photography from the pre-War period. The
first is a group of 135 titles comprising
over 1000 photo-books and magazines spanning
the rich history of this most challenging
period of Japanese artistic photography.
The second is a collection of 70 original
photographs from the same period. We have
published a fully illustrated catalogue
in a limited edition of 450 copies giving
detailed bibliographical information on
each title as well as providing background
