Terms of business
All items are offered subject to prior sale.
As with all purchases from us, any items held to be unsatisfactory
may be returned, providing such returns are notified to us in advance.
Any contract arising from this website is made under British law.
Title to any goods does not transfer from the seller until payment
is received in full.
All items are priced in Pounds Sterling. We may be able to confirm
a fixed exchange rate with some currencies.
We are happy to accept payment by Visa or Mastercard: we may request
references from new customers, whatever payment method is chosen.
Unless instructed otherwise all despatches will be insured for
all risks.
Value added tax
VAT (TVA) is not due on any goods exported outside the European Union
or to the Channel Islands.
Books, unframed maps and sheet music do not attract VAT, wherever
sold. Some other types of goods, notably autograph letters, manuscripts,
pictures and photographs are subject to VAT (currently 17.5%) when
sold within the EU. Since this varies from item to item, our staff
will advise you on receipt of an order or enquiry. VAT-registered
dealers within the EU should supply us with their VAT/TVA number at
the time of ordering.
