This account of a expedition from Mombasa to Nairobi via the Rift Valley and Londiani used 3D images to illustrate the "strangely fascinating world of Central Africa". They were accompanied by 80 porters and bagged lion, leopard, zebra, waterbuck, elephant, giraffes and rhino.

It is the only example of a big game book we've handled to include such images, however the technical achievements of this works are undermined by the unpleasant text.

Rare: OCLC locates copies at the NLS and BL. Czech, p47.

Burns’ expedition departed Mombasa for Nairobi, then travelled by train across the Rift Valley to Londiani, less than forty miles from Lake Victoria. They took 80 porters with them on their march into the Eldama Ravine, to mount Sirgoit and Elgeyo forest. Burns relates several close calls with leopards and lions and recounts bagging zebra, elephant, waterbuck, gira e, and rhino.
