Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: "For Richard, after a little stagger and only the occasional lurch thereafter - a scatter of rhymes, iambs, and stanzas reached the first trench. with love, Ted, 10th October 1992", and inscribed: "Cheapest of cheap paper used by Faber for the best poetry of our time. I reviewed this book for the New York Review of Books in 1981/2. Richard Murphy, Knysna - 16 October 2007", with some underlining and the odd notation by R.M. in the text. Pages browning, otherwise a very good copy.
