Young was an architect of Exeter Hall, Strand, London, who was also in partnership with R. M. Shaw. Most of the designs are Young's own, and include a number of Labourers' Cottages designed for the Earl of Wemyss and March, Chapels erected at Epsom Cemetery, the grandiose Holmewood House in Huntingdonshire designed for W. Wells, M.P., and a cottage at Henley-on-Thames.
