Abbey, Life, 67. Archer 292.2. From the library of John Piper. With the 2pp advertisement leaf at the end. A number of the plates are quite heavily foxed, and there is some darkening around their margins - in consequence of the type of paper used.Originally published in parts in 1832, the "First Edition" is dated 1833, and this "Third Edition, Greatly Improved" is in essence the second, with the text reset, but the plates are the originals, untouched. The 12 designs are all in varied Tudor or castellated styles, with Pugin's Ornamental Timber Gables praised and imitated.
