All four volumes bound in original full calf. The bindings are rubbed and scraped particularly on the spines. Numbered 1-4 on the spine. In some cases the spines are showing signs of splitting from the boards, particularly volume II. The front and end papers are foxed. Volume I has an engraved frontis showing three portraits of the life of John Dryden originally painted in 1664, 1690 and 1698. Bookplate of Elizabeth Pitcairn on the paste-down in each volume.
