First edition of this abridgement of Bernard de Montfaucon's highly influential Palaeographia Greca (1708) with the addition of the editor Placentinio's discussion of Greek pronounciation. Various Greek alphabets and samples of script are reproduced throughout the text as well as a fine folding plate of decorated initials.
