Well printed edition of the collected poetry of Jean Marot, the father of Clément Marot; it incudes the Voyage de Genes and many smaller poems. The volume begins with an epistre in verse on the death of his father by Clément and a letter to Queen Anne. A contemporary manuscript appreciation of the poet is found on three pages at the end. Finely bound by Fauchet of which Ramsden states: "No doubt the same as the Fauché of whom Lesné speaks well." He had a long career, first at Monsieur le Prince 19 in 1821, then at Mathurin 11 in 1826, and finally at Harpe 66 from 1835-49. Querard V, 554. Ramsden p. 85.
