This devotional work, ascribed to St. Bonaventura, was very popular at the end of 15th century and the first half of the 15th century, with numerous incunabula editions which have now become quite rare. This edition is also very rare and is not recorded in COPAC or OCLC, and only 4 copies are located in Censimento, (Vatican Library, University of Urbino, and the Capucin libraries at Padua and Trento).Provenance. Ownership inscription on title-page, dated Florence 1849, of J. Spencer Northcote (1821-1907) who was once an Anglican curate who converted to Roman Catholicism; he spent three years in Rome and was the author of an important work on the catacombs in Rome. Old stamp on title, "withdrawn" stamp on fly-leaf.Censimento CNCE 33183.
