Rare first and only edition of Richardot's treatise on the therapeutic effects of the baths at Plombières in the Vosges mountains. The radioactive springs have been in use since Roman times and remain a fashionable spa today. The author Richardot describes himself on the title-page as "Medecin ordinaire de son altesse royale [i.e. Prince Leopold-Clement de Lorraine] , resident à Nancy".Provenance: 18th century inscription on title-page "Du Monastere de Lan. de Nancy".
