Marillier") [Annotation in pencil on the reverse reads "has written a book (about to be published) on The Art of Dante Rossetti &c".] to "Mr Rossetti" [annotated in pencil "to William Rossetti"].1 page oblong 8vo, Swan Electric Engraving Company, Northumbria House, 116 Charing Cross Road, 21 April 1899.
Liaising for a delivery; "I have sent up two men, so that if you would prefer to send all the things I asked for at once, they will be able to manage them safely, & I can get them ready to send back to you immediately on your return. The men have materials for packing etc". Marillier was an expert on tapestries, the managing director for Morris & Co between 1905 and 1940 and he and his wife purchased Kelmscott Manor in 1897. He joined his wife's cousin, Cameron Swan, at the Swan Electric Engraving Company in 1896, for which he wrote the preface to The Early Works of Aubrey Beardsley (1899) and a memoir of Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1899). During the First World War Marillier was an anti-aircraft gunner.
