Ben studied Maths at Bath University and after four years left with a masters degree. The obvious thing to do next was to move to London and see if any bookshops would hire him.

Lucky enough to be introduced to Maggs, he applied for an internship. Two years on he is the happy face to be found on the reception desk and is slowly taking charge of the Private Press books.

Ben enjoys playing piano and guitar, watching films, and his French lessons, which are gradually having the desired effect.
